According to scientific study based on animal test subjects, it has been determined that the chief function of SNAP-8 is to operate as an inhibitor of muscle contractions. This enables muscles to achieve a more consistent means of achieving homeostasis.

It has also been determined via scientific study on animal test subjects that SNAP-8 works in conjunction with the protein SNAP-25; a T-Snare protein that possesses the ability to regulate muscle contraction. However, when this protein becomes even the tiniest bit destabilized, its ability to provide regulation to muscle contractions becomes compromised; an action that causes wrinkles and lines to form on animal test subjects. SNAP-8's functional capacities allow SNAP-25 to remain stabilized for a longer period of time. Furthermore, it has been determined through scientific study on animal test subjects that SNAP-8's ability to provide a more stabilized means of muscle contraction could hypothetically remove the presence of the wrinkles in the aftermath of their formation. As such, scientific study has derived that the presence of the peptide could theoretically contain anti-aging properties.


STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE

SNAP-8 Powder and SNAP-8 Solution must be kept in a cool, dark and clean place to ensure a shelf life of at least twelve months. For long term storage it is recommended to store both forms at 4 ºC which extends shelf life to at least eighteen months. In rare cases, refrigerated storage of SNAP-8 Solution can cause precipitation of the preservative. This does not affect the integrity of the product.
